First of all, I adore books that have bright colors and large easily readable words for children. This book is a level 2 reader with simple words and phrases a young reader can understand. Even if a child is not reading yet, this book is a really fun read for bedtime or playtime.
The story line about confidence in God and knowing He has a plan for us all is just precious and so very true! Anyone could use this book for a quick and fun lesson on God's love for us all. This book also shows the importance of praying or "talking" to God. Hermie often feels down when he sees someone he thinks has nicer spots or stripes etc. than him. Only when Hermie talks to God is he reminded of his own beauty that is not necessarily outward appearance only. I would recommend this book to anyone.
